Does the Jamaica Villa You are Renting Have a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Plan?
Visiting Jamaica in September? Everything you would want to know before you go (Updated 2/23/2023)
After being cooped up for almost three months due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), you are probably itching to travel. But where to go? How do you travel safety if there is no vaccine? What is Jamaica coronavirus level like?
Jamaica has done a great job keeping the spread of COVID-19 low and, as they reopen, they aim to keep it that way. That spells great news for you as a traveler because you know they’ve got your back.
Perhaps the safest option in travel to Jamaica right now is to stay at an approved Jamaica villa or vacation rental like Mais Oui Villa in Discovery Bay, Jamaica.
Why?

What is Mais Oui Villa in Jamaica doing to reduce the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Mais Oui Villa Jamaica Coronavirus (COVID-19) Plan: Stay Safe Together Program
At Mais Oui Villa, your health and safety, as well as that of our incredible staff, is our top priority.
Our COVID-19 Stay Safe Together Program aims to prevent, detect, and respond to curb the spread of the disease in our region and ultimately the world. We are determined to do everything we can to ensure peace of mind for your upcoming vacation with us.
Our Jamaica COVID-19 Stay Safe Together Program focuses on 9 key areas:
1. Protocols based on up-to-date guidelines
Our focus is on science and not just superficial optics.
We’re actively monitoring and following guidelines based on updates from the Jamaican Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW), World Health Organization (WHO), and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), and will continue to respond based on the best advice of governments, public health authorities, and associated medical professionals.
2. Comprehensive staff training
Staff are trained to implement the new protocols and guidelines. Without training, all the protocols in the world are meaningless.
3. Hand sanitization
We have increased access to both hand washing and hand sanitizing stations for staff and guests.
4. Face masks and or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Staff wear masks in public spaces. The appropriate PPE is worn for the given task.
5. Enhanced sanitization and disinfection
While our standard routine has always gone above and beyond the minimum requirements for cleanliness in the hospitality industry, we’ve improved our efforts to ensure disinfection of high touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, tabletops, appliances, electronics, and light switches.
6. Social distancing
We reduce physical contact between staff and guests as much as possible while delivering excellent service. Whenever possible, staff maintains a distance of 6-ft from guests. Non-registered guests are not allowed on the property.
7. Technology enabled
Guests may use our app to check in. Use our digital guide instead of brochures.
8. Health reporting and screening
Guests are screened prior to arrival and are asked to report any change in their status.
Staff are screened daily to ensure no one is sick or showing any signs of illness. Staff must pass the daily screening to be allowed at work.
9. Emergency Planning
We have a clear and approved Emergency Plan in place for the safety of our staff and guests.
These 9 points represent an overview of our COVID-19 Stay Safe Together Program.
