A Jamaica Villa with Chef and Butler — Dining at Mais Oui Villa

Dining Is the Heart of the Mais Oui Villa Experience

When guests reflect on their stay at Mais Oui Villa, meals are often what they remember most.

Not because they’re extravagant or theatrical — but because they feel intentional, unrushed, and deeply personal.

Staying at a Jamaica villa with chef and butler means dining unfolds naturally over the course of your day. There are no reservations to juggle, no decisions to manage at the last minute, and no pressure to work around a restaurant schedule. Instead, meals are thoughtfully prepared, beautifully served, and shared in a setting that feels like home — just with someone else doing the cooking and service.

Dining at Mais Oui Villa is designed to make your vacation easier, more connected, and more memorable.

What Dining at Mais Oui Villa Is Really Like

Dining at Mais Oui Villa is one of the most carefully designed parts of the experience.

Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying time together, dinners are typically served as a multi-course experience, similar to what you would expect at a fine dining restaurant — but in the relaxed, private setting of the villa.

While dinner generally includes a minimum of three courses, the final execution is always guided by the menu you create with the chef. Some evenings feel celebratory and elegant, others relaxed and familiar. What remains consistent is the attention to detail, thoughtful pacing, and care taken with every meal.

Menus Created Around You — Before or During Your Stay

There is no single “right” way to plan dining at Mais Oui Villa.

Some guests prefer to create menus in advance, knowing exactly what they will enjoy throughout the week. Others prefer to arrive, settle in, and finalize menus with the chef once they are here.

Both approaches work equally well.

The choice depends on how much pre-planning you want to do before your vacation begins. Our role is to support whichever approach feels easiest and most comfortable for you — never to overwhelm you with decisions. The entire process is designed to feel collaborative, flexible, and stress-free.

Coordinated, Considerate, and Well-Timed Service

While dining at Mais Oui Villa is relaxed, it is also thoughtfully coordinated with our staff.

Meal times are planned collaboratively so that:

  • service feels attentive and unhurried

  • the kitchen operates smoothly

  • staff members are respected and supported

This balance allows the dining experience to feel elevated without being rigid — refined, yet grounded in the rhythms of a well-run private home. Meals are never rushed, but they are also not treated as on-demand service. This approach ensures consistency, quality, and a positive experience for both guests and staff.

Dining That Brings People Together

One of the most meaningful aspects of staying at a Jamaica villa with chef and butler is what doesn’t happen.

No one:

  • leaves the table to get the check

  • rushes to make a reservation

  • worries about timing or logistics

Meals become shared moments rather than managed events. This is especially valuable for families, milestone celebrations, and groups traveling together, where time around the table often becomes the highlight of the day.

A Fine-Dining Experience Without the Formality

Meals at Mais Oui Villa are prepared and served with the same care you would expect in a fine dining setting — without the formality or constraints of a restaurant.

Courses are paced naturally. Presentation is beautiful, not performative. Service feels present without being intrusive.

Depending on the evening, meals may be served:

  • as plated courses

  • family-style to encourage sharing

  • or in a more relaxed format that suits the moment

The experience adapts to your group, the menu, and the tone of the evening — not the other way around.

Fresh, Local, and Thoughtfully Prepared

Our chef sources fresh, local ingredients whenever possible and incorporates Jamaican flavors in a way that feels approachable and balanced. Meals reflect both the island and the preferences of your group, creating a dining experience that feels authentic without being overwhelming.

Food Purchase Options at Mais Oui Villa

When it comes to food purchases during your stay, we offer two flexible options.

Option 1: Personalized Grocery Shopping

Your chef handles grocery shopping based on the menus you’ve agreed upon. You reimburse the cost directly. This option provides flexibility and control over both menus and budget.

A reasonable estimate for most menus is US $75–$85 per person per day, depending on menu selections, portions size, and current food costs.

Option 2: Pre-Paid Meal Plan (Optional Add-On)

Guests may also choose a pre-paid meal plan that includes three meals per day based on our menus. This creates an all-inclusive-style experience while maintaining the privacy, flexibility, and pacing of a villa stay.

What Guests Remember Most

“Exquisite services, freshly caught fish and lobster, jerk chicken were just some of the items. Also, these were the most punctual meals we have experienced. The tables were beautifully set with a variety of colorful linens and table collections.”

- Ann P. Green Bay, WI.
