U.S. Dept of Transportation Bans Samsung Note 7 Device from air travel
The U.S. Department of Transportation has issued an emergency order that bans all Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices from commercial air transport effective at noon Eastern Time on October 15, 2016.
Airline passengers are asked to comply by not traveling with this device in any form, whether on their person, in a carry-on bag, in a checked bag or shipped as cargo.
Spread the word … Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones are banned on commercial airlines.
We need to spread the word so that people don’t try to simply turn them off and sneak them in their luggage. This is a major safety hazard. The phones are not allowed on board any commercial airplane.
This is not the same as people forgetting to turn off their phones during flight. What is the issue?
The phone can catch on fire!

No doubt this will be an inconvenience for people who have these phone; but, ignoring the ban could create a life and death situation.
