Or, we may talk about high and low season as it relates to tourist travel patterns.
That said, we unofficially recognize two main weather patterns: the dry season (November to April) and the wet or rainy season (May to October).
Thanks to climate change, the seasons aren’t as clearly defined as they were years ago but in a relative sense, there is still a dry and a rainy season, although July and August can be relatively dry.
Dry Season (November to April)
The dry season is Jamaica’s peak travel time, with cooler temperatures and minimal rain. If you’re planning a beach holiday or exploring Jamaica’s outdoor attractions, this is the best time to travel to Jamaica. However, prices are generally higher, and popular tourist spots can get crowded.

Although August is in the rainy season, there have been periods of drought sometimes.
While Jamaica’s hurricane season falls within this period (June to November), hurricanes are rare, and most days are still sunny with occasional rain.
