Do You Have a Fear of Traveling? Tell Us Why.

Millions of people have a fear of traveling. Did you know that fear of traveling is called hodophobia? Yep. That is the official name for this fear.

Terrorist events have fueled the fire. Who can forget Sept 11th or the recent attacks in Europe?  On top of that, the State Department has a habit of putting out sweeping advisories against various countries, and sometimes the whole world, which further drives these fears.  As a result, so many people end up with irrational fears as discussed in this interesting Boston Globe article.

Nevertheless, this is not the time for us to huddle in fear in our homes. We must step out of our comfort zone and see the world.

Don’t let fear of traveling hold you hostage.
